Notice of Updated Fee Schedules

The City of Irvine has increased fees effective August 15, 2026, per the adopted Development Processing and Inspection Fee Resolutions 24-41, 25-78, and 25-79. The newer rates will apply to all projects submitted or issued on or after August 15. Any existing unpaid fees/invoices have been automatically recalculated on August 15 to reflect the updated fees. All adjustments being implemented are consistent with the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim Consumer Price Index (CPI). The City of Irvine will also adopt the International Code Council's Building Valuation Data of February 2026 effective August 15, 2026.

OCFA Updates Fire Prevention Fees and Plan Review Process

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) has approved a 0.17% adjustment to its Fire Prevention Fee Schedule, effective June 25, 2026, to keep fees aligned with service costs. Starting August 1, 2026, plan review fees will once again be collected at the time of application submittal through the Orion Records Management System, streamlining processing and improving efficiency.

2025 California Building Standards Code Adoption

The City of Irvine will present the 2025 California Building Standards Code (CBSC) to the City Council for adoption on October 28, 2025. If adopted, the new code will take effect January 1, 2026, in alignment with the statewide implementation schedule.
