The City of Irvine invites the community to close out the summer with an evening of swimming and family fun at the annual Splash-In Movie & Recreation Swim Saturday, August 29, at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.
The pool opens at 6:30 p.m., and the movie begins at 7:15 p.m. Guests can enjoy recreation swimming, diving boards, a small water slide, and an in-water obstacle course before settling in for a large outdoor screening of The Lorax in the shallow-depth pool.
Lifeguards will be on duty throughout the event. Children ages 6 and younger must be accompanied one-on-one by an adult while in the water.
The event also features the City’s Floatie Exchange program. Families can bring arm floaties or other non-approved flotation devices and exchange them for a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket for children ages 6 and younger, while supplies last. This program supports the City’s ongoing efforts to promote water safety.
Admission to the Splash-In Movie & Recreation Swim is $2.50 per child and $5 per adult, payable at the entrance.
