The Orange County Sheriff’s Department Coroner Division has identified three occupants of a vehicle involved in a fatal traffic collision on Friday, November 22, on Harvard Avenue near University Drive.

Jaehyeong Park, 21, of Irvine, was driving the vehicle at the time of the collision. Kiwook Seok, 20, of Irvine, was a passenger in the vehicle. Yoseop Jeon, 18, of Torrance, was also a passenger in the vehicle.

The surviving fourth occupant of the vehicle remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

Three people were killed and a fourth was taken to a local hospital Friday morning after a traffic collision on Harvard Avenue near University Drive in Irvine. The Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to a report of a single vehicle collision at that location at 1:46 a.m.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered three people deceased inside the vehicle. A fourth person inside the vehicle was transported to a local hospital.

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will conduct a sobriety checkpoint as part of the Department’s continued commitment to reducing injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted Friday, Nov. 22, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the area of Culver Drive and Alton Parkway.
