Hermosillo is the capital of the State of Sonora in northwestern Mexico and an important center for government, industry, and education. Its economy is anchored by manufacturing, including a significant automotive sector, as well as agriculture. Located approximately 250 miles south of Tucson, Arizona, Hermosillo’s proximity to the United States contributes to strong cross-border economic connections.
