The City’s International Affairs program supports Irvine’s official international relationships, coordinates Sister City and Friendship City programming, welcomes visiting dignitaries and governmental delegations.
Established in 1989, the City of Irvine’s Sister Cities Program strengthens global connections through cultural and educational exchanges, international engagement and economic collaboration. The program fosters partnerships that promote cultural understanding and the exchange of ideas and experiences.
