Construction Advisory: Northwood Community Park Improvements

Construction begins Monday, November 2, to bring more shade, refreshed play spaces, and new opportunities to stay active to Northwood Community Park.

The castle will remain at the heart of the playground as we enhance the space with new playground equipment, rubberized surfacing, shade structures, picnic tables, and ADA-accessible ramps. Fitness equipment along the track will also be updated.

Construction Impacts and Closures

  • Playground: Closed throughout construction.
  • Northwood Community Center and adjacent fields: Remain open.
  • Fitness stations: Scheduled for replacement in early 2027 and temporarily closed during that work.
  • Parking: The Northwood Community Center parking lot will remain open. Some parking spaces may be temporarily unavailable during construction hours, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Construction will be coordinated to minimize disruptions to park visitors.

Project Timeline

The improved playground is expected to reopen in summer 2027, welcoming the community back for more royal adventures!
