IRVINE, CA – Two suspects have been arrested for stealing copper wire in Irvine. Daniel Villanueva, 35, and Jose Rene Romeroocampo, 35, were arrested for grand theft, vandalism and possession of burglary tools.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. today, April 25, 2015, an Irvine Police Department officer was patrolling the area of Sand Canyon Avenue and the I-405. The officer observed Villanueva and Romeroocampo run across Sand Canyon Avenue from a parking lot toward a bike trail on the west side of the street.
in Irvine and produced a note demanding cash from an individual teller’s drawer. The man did not speak during the robbery. After receiving cash from the teller, he placed it in a plastic grocery bag and left. He was last seen on foot by witnesses but may be associated with a silver truck.
IRVINE, CA – A suspect has been arrested for committing a series of package thefts from the doorsteps of homes in Irvine. Anthony Palusso, 30, was arrested April 22, 2015, for misdemeanor petty theft and possession of stolen property.
The Irvine Animal Care Center is hosting a “Kitten and Puppy Shower” on Saturday, April 25 from 1-4 p.m. to help raise supplies needed to care for orphaned kittens and puppies.
The City of Irvine will host a Social Security disability benefits lecture on Wednesday, May 6 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Lakeview Senior Center.
Presented by the Honorable John M. Watson (Ret.), the lecture will provide an overview of the online application process for Social Security disability benefits, including who can apply online, how to apply online and the documentation that must be submitted along with your application for benefits.
IRVINE, CA – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will conduct a sobriety checkpoint as part of the department’s continued commitment to reducing injury and deaths and raising awareness about the dangers caused by alcohol and drug-impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted tomorrow, Saturday, April 18, 2015, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. in the area of Culver Drive south of Irvine Boulevard.
IRVINE, CA – April is Earthquake Preparedness Month, and the Irvine Police Department (IPD) would like to share some important steps with residents and businesses that can be helpful in protecting family members and employees in an emergency.
To ensure that immediate needs are met following a disaster, assemble a supply kit with enough provisions to last three to five days. Supplies can include food, water, and medicine. Residents should tailor their supply kit based on specific family needs, such as including extra eyeglasses or food and medicine for pets.
