A Public Forum will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, to update the community about operational findings and recommendations concerning the Irvine Animal Care Center. Led by Dr. Rick Greenwood, interim manager, the Public Forum, “Planning Our Way Forward,” will include details of the City Council-directed report by JVR Shelter Strategies.

IRVINE, CA (March 19, 2015): The City of Irvine is updating the Parks and Facilities Master Plan, which will help guide future development and operation of City parks and recreational facilities.

The City is seeking community input to identify public park and recreation needs and to understand whether there are any changes that may be made to enhance visitors’ park experience. Once completed, the Master Plan will provide a framework for future projects and upgrades to new and existing parks and facilities over the next ten years.

IRVINE, CA – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will conduct a sobriety checkpoint as part of the department’s continued commitment to reducing injury and deaths and raising awareness about the dangers caused by alcohol and drug-impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2015, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. in the area of MacArthur Boulevard between Campus Drive and Douglas.

IRVINE, CA – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is seeking the public’s help identifying and locating a suspect, who carjacked a victim in a parking structure.

The suspect is described as a female, Hispanic, age 20s, 5’2” tall and 130 pounds. She was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans. 

Update: IRVINE, CA - At approximately 2:30 p.m., Leonard Romero was located. The Irvine Police Department (IPD) determined that Romero became lost and attempted to use a credit card at a gas station in Downey. The Downey Police Department responded to assist. Romero’s family has been notified.

10:15 a.m.: IRVINE, CA – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is seeking the public’s help locating an 86-year-old man, who was reported missing yesterday afternoon.

IRVINE, CA – An Irvine man has been arrested for assaulting and threatening his neighbor. Nathaniel Estes, 35, was arrested this morning, March 8, 2015, following a stand-off with Irvine Police Department (IPD) officers.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., IPD responded to an apartment complex on the 500 block of Veneto regarding a male subject causing a disturbance and threatening to kill a neighbor.
