Immigration Enforcement Update

On Wednesday, February 18, at approximately 8:35 a.m., the Irvine Police Department received a 911 call reporting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity at a business near Bake Parkway and Toledo Way. Three adult females were taken into custody. City staff is in direct contact with the business owner and is providing information on available City of Irvine resources to support any impacted employees and families. At this time, we are not aware of any other ICE enforcement activity within Irvine.

Join City staff March 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Canopy construction site for an up-close look at the future home of the new food, beverage, and retail hub at the Great Park, as well as the Northern Sector/Perimeter Park, Cultural Terrace, Lakes, and The Canopy 1 and 2 amenities.

SBDC Launchpad 2025 Demo Day and Pitch Competition

On December 12, the City of Irvine hosted the SBDC LaunchPad 2025 Demo Day and Pitch Competition, highlighting the impact of targeted startup support on business growth and long-term economic opportunity. Presented in partnership with Octane OC and the Orange County Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (OCIE SBDC), the Demo Day reflected the City’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Irvine’s innovation economy and supporting companies positioned for scalable growth.
