The Irvine Animal Care Center will host its 15th annual Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Fair Sunday, December 5, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Home for the Holidays will be held entirely outdoors at the Irvine Animal Care Center and feature local pet rescue groups and pet-related vendors, along with upwards of 200 adoptable animals. The park-like environment provides ample space for the community to come together to find a new furry family member and get an early start to holiday gifting for ourselves, our pets, and more.
All-electric home designs are more feasible than ever, thanks to changes to the 2019 Title 24 energy code and advances in manufacturers’ all-electric product lines. This class will introduce attendees to the key products and systems needed to convert traditional natural gas end uses to electricity. We will compare all-electric energy designs to traditional dual-fuel designs in the California energy modeling software and analyze cost-effectiveness and quality of life reasons to consider all-electric designs.

The City of Irvine is expanding its partnership with testing provider Covid Clinic. Vaccinations are now available at existing Covid Clinic sites at the Irvine Civic Center and Great Park. All three vaccines for COVID-19 will be offered for patients 16 and older. Vaccines for younger children will be available in the future. Vaccine appointments for first dose, second dose, and booster shots are available at cityofirvine.org/covidclinic, and the vaccine type can be selected during registration.
