On April 27 the Irvine Children’s Fund (ICF) was awarded more than a million dollars by the Irvine City Council through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Public Service, and Coronavirus Grant programs.

The Irvine City Council awarded a $60,389 CDBG Public Service grant to ICF to fund before and after school child care scholarships for low income, working families from Irvine. In addition, the Council awarded a one time, 3-year grant of $979,821 to help families negatively impacted by the pandemic.

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is seeking the public’s help in identifying four male suspects involved in an attempted armed robbery that occurred Sunday afternoon at a shopping center.

The City of Irvine is partnering with Providence, a national nonprofit health system, to open a mass drive-thru vaccination clinic at the Orange County Great Park April 26. The Irvine clinic will provide convenient access for Irvine and Orange County residents to protect themselves from COVID-19.

PSD created the Geospatial Maturity Index (GMI) to assist with GIS program development, capacity building, and innovation in public sector organizations.
