COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall Meeting - April 14, 2020

The City of Irvine hosted its first ever Virtual Town Hall Meeting with Mayor Shea and Vice Mayor Carroll on Tuesday, April 14. Thank you to all that were able to participate. Irvine Police Arrest Man for Felony Animal Cruelty

The Irvine Police Department arrested Ruiang Zhang yesterday morning on felony animal abuse charges. Zhang was taken into custody after a witness saw him repeatedly kicking a five-month-old French bulldog puppy, ultimately kicking the female puppy down a flight of stairs at an apartment complex off Bowery in Irvine.

Virtual Town Hall Meeting

Mayor Shea and Vice Mayor Carroll will host a Virtual Town Hall Meeting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14 for the purposes of holding a Q&A pertaining to COVID-19 and the City of Irvine. This Virtual Town Hall Meeting will be held via Webex and will require advanced registration.

As our needs to support our community during the COVID-19 crisis rise, the Boys and Girls Club of Irvine is gearing up to provide childcare services to our first responders and healthcare workers.

With the help of HOAG and CHOC, they have come up with a plan to provide the services while practicing physical distancing and keeping a sanitized environment.
