As part of Irvine's Sizzlin' Summer Concert series, enjoy a free outdoor concert featuring the Pacific Symphony, led by Music Director Carl St.Clair. At 5:30 p.m., a Musical Playground will open with interactive activities for children including making an instrument, playing a drum, meeting a musician, and a conducting clinic with Maestro St.Clair. Help support Marines and sailors of the City of Irvine's adopted Marine battalion from Camp Pendleton at the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee Car Wash on Saturday, June 22, 9 a.m.–2 p.m., at the Lakeview Senior Center parking lot.

The Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee accepts donations to help underwrite the cost of supporting Marines and their families, and to provide them care packages and monetary support.

Grab your swimsuit, floatie, and family, and come on down to the pool for a movie. Swim and float while Incredibles 2 plays on the big screen. Lifeguards will be on duty. Adults and children of all swimming abilities are invited to participate on Friday, June 21, in the Super Swim Lesson, a worldwide effort to raise awareness for drowning prevention.

Arrive at 5:30 p.m. to sign up for the one-time lesson to be held at 6 p.m., then stay for the free recreation swim that includes a water slide, giant inflatable, and diving boards. At dusk, the movie Trolls plays on the big screen. Lifeguards will be on duty. For recreation swim, children 6 and younger must be accompanied by an adult one-on-one in the water.
