The winter issue of Inside Irvine is available now at insideirvine.org. Learn about a new shuttle service connecting the northern end of the City to the Spectrum area; see how an innovative new program developed by the Irvine Police Department is helping to ensure police officers and supervisors have an understanding of the diverse cultures in the community; and discover how Irvine is once again the safest city of its size.
The City of Irvine invites the community to celebrate the holiday season with three signature events opening Saturday, December 2, at the Great Park. This year’s festivities reimagine Irvine holiday classics, including the Holiday Tree Lighting, now Illuminate Irvine, and Holidayz at the Park, and introduce a new seasonal event hosted by the Irvine Fine Arts Center, Holiday Market.
This holiday season, let's give back to the world around us by composting food scraps from all upcoming festivities! Not only does it help the environment, but you are also complying with Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383), a state law that requires every resident and business to recycle organic waste in an effort to reduce methane emissions.
Residents that have the organics cart and those HOA communities that have an communal bin are required to separate their organic waste from the trash and place it the organics cart/bin for composting.
Free Compost Event for Irvine Residents.
Receive up to three pre-packaged bags (20 pounds per bag) of free compost.
Event will be in Parking Lot 8, next to Wild Rivers
Directions: From 5 and 405 Freeways
Exit Sand Canyon Ave. Turn Left.
Turn Right on Great Park Blvd.
Lot 8 is located off of Skyhawk and Great Park Blvd, next to Wild Rivers.
