Support Adoptable Animals with Comedy Event at Irvine Improv

Support animals in need while enjoying a comedic night out on the town at the fourth annual Comedy Unleashed fundraiser Tuesday, September 17, at Irvine Improv. Guests will be treated to dinner and a show featuring comedians Pete Lee, Nick Guerra, and J.F. Harris. Nearly half the proceeds go toward the Irvine Animal Care Center.

Enjoy a Summer Swim and Outdoor Movie August 24 at the Pool in Irvine

Grab your swimsuit and enjoy recreational swimming with family while the movie Incredibles 2 plays on the big screen during the City of Irvine’s Splash-In Movie & Recreation Swim on Saturday, August 24, at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center. The family-friendly summer outing kicks off with swimming at 6:30 p.m.; movie starts at dusk.

The recreation swim fee is $2 per child and $4 per adult. No registration is required and all fees are due at the pool. Lifeguards will be on duty.

SCE Restores Power to Irvine Residents

As of 4:14 a.m., all Irvine customers who lost power in an outage Friday evening have had power restored, Southern California Edison reports.

City of Irvine facilities that are open today will continue to serve as designated cooling and cellphone charging centers. A detailed list of locations and hours is available here.
