Irvine Police Department Arrests Suspect in Purse Snatching

Irvine, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2018) – Irvine Police Department detectives on Thursday arrested the suspect in a purse snatching that turned violent a week before.

Jennifer Nicole Burner, 34, was arrested in Santa Ana, where she resides. Irvine Police Department detectives identified Burner thanks to an anonymous tip from the public that came in after media coverage highlighting the crime.

Irvine Fine Arts Center Seeking Exhibitors for Studio Arts Festival

The Irvine Fine Arts Center is seeking exhibitors for its 2018 Studio Arts Festival, occurring Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Studio Arts Festival showcases Southern California artists and their original works of art for purchase in ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, painting, photography, fiber and glass.

Interested artists can learn more and fill out an application at cityofirvine.org/studioartsfestival. Applications are due Thursday, March 1.

Man Involved in Single-Vehicle Collision on Sunday Dies of Injuries

Irvine, Calif.  (Feb. 6, 2018) – A man who was seriously injured in a single-vehicle traffic collision over the weekend has died of his injuries. Phihoang Phillip Do, 20, was from Montclair.

Irvine, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2018) –The man who died Monday in a traffic collision at San Remo and Paseo Westpark in Irvine has been identified. Colin Halleland, 18, of Irvine was the driver of a motorcycle involved in the collision. Halleland was a student at Orange Coast College.
