There are 14 Vote Centers in Irvine for the November 8 General Election.

Irvine City Hall will serve as one of two Vote Centers open in Irvine October 29-November 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The City Hall Vote Center will have a drive-thru ballot drop-off option. 

Twelve additional Vote Centers will be open November 5-7 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Vote Centers will be open on Election Day, November 8, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Irvine Police Arrest 4 Connected to Thefts from Vehicles

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) arrested four people following thefts from vehicles in Irvine.

On the morning of October 18, 2022, two residents reported items were stolen from their vehicles on Sonoma Aisle during overnight hours.  The window of one vehicle was smashed and small electronics were stolen.  The second victim reported their vehicle was ransacked and personal belongings were missing.

EPA, Navy, State of California, and City of Irvine celebrate facility reuse award winner Marine Corps Air Station El Toro

On October 12, representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S Navy, California Department of Toxic Substances Control, and the City of Irvine recognized the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro as a winner in the EPA’s fifth annual National Federal Facility Excellence in Site Reuse Awards.

Irvine Police Department to Participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Irvine, Calif. (October 12, 2022) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will be participating in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Community members can drop off unwanted medications at two designated locations in the City of Irvine. This free service, which allows the public to anonymously discard prescription medications, addresses a vital public safety and public health issue. The participating sites are:
