In partnership with the City of Irvine, Waste Management is hosting a free paper-shredding event Saturday, October 22, 9–11 a.m. at Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes. The event is first-come, first-served, and will end when truck capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.

Irvine Police Department to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

Irvine, Calif. (September 9, 2022) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will conduct a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Driver’s License checkpoint as part of the Department’s continued commitment to reducing injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted on Friday, September 16, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the area of Bake Parkway and Muirlands Boulevard.

Irvine Police Investigating Fatal Traffic Collision

IRVINE, Calif. (September 13, 2022) – Irvine Police are investigating a traffic collision that occurred on September 6, between a vehicle and a man riding an electric scooter. The man riding the scooter sustained grave injuries and died on September 12.
