Through the leadership of Mayor Farrah N. Khan, the City of Irvine and MemorialCare partnered together to offer a COVID-19 small trial vaccine clinic for Irvine’s most vulnerable seniors.
“I’m thrilled to be able to provide vaccines to our City’s most vulnerable residents,” said Mayor Farrah N. Khan. “The City Council and I have listened to residents’ requests and needs to bring vaccines to the City, and this is just the beginning of the great work my COVID-19 Task Force is capable of achieving through our partnerships.”

The City of Irvine's COVID-19 Task Force, in partnership with Orange County's Third District Supervisor Donald Wagner, will host a Virtual Town Hall meeting regarding COVID-19 vaccines on Friday, February 26 from 3 to 4 p.m.
This task force will help navigate and advise the City Council on COVID-19 response efforts, helping to ensure the safety of our community is at the forefront of Council decisions. The meeting will include the following members:
South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) will hold a town hall meeting on Wednesday, March 3 at 6 p.m. to discuss recent matters regarding All American Asphalt. The meeting will provide an open forum to discuss the results of recent air testing efforts in the area and address other questions and concerns from the community.
South Coast AQMD will hold its second town hall meeting (Open in new window) on the topic of All American Asphalt, to take place on Wednesday, March 3 at 6:00 PM.
Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan made the following statement regarding the next scheduled meeting:
The Irvine Animal Care Center is in the design phase of a major renovation project, and members of the public are invited to a virtual meeting to learn more about the plans. The center was opened in 1982, and manages more than 1,700 adoptions and reunifications annually. To maintain a high level of service to a growing Irvine community, the City Council approved a joint project to improve the Irvine Animal Care Center and Operations Support Facility.
IRVINE, Calif. (February 11, 2021) Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan will deliver the State of the City Address Tuesday, February 23 at 5 p.m.
Mayor Khan will offer a look back on accomplishments from 2020 and will share initiatives and highlights for 2021, including the City’s 50th anniversary. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the address will be delivered through a combination of live and video formats, and will not be open to the public.

The City of Irvine is required to adequately plan and meet the housing needs of everyone in the community by updating its Housing Element every eight years. In the update, the City must identify enough potentially developable land suitable for residential use to meet Irvine’s new Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) allocation.
