The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is joining the celebration for National Night Out. This annual tradition celebrated across the country will be held August 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.at the following locations:

  • Cypress Community Park, 255 Visions
  • University Community Park, 1 Beech Tree Lane
  • The Ranch Neighborhood Park, 5161 Royale Ave.

The event offers a chance for neighbors to interact with each other and police personnel, as well as explore police vehicles and learn important crime prevention tips.

Irvine’s Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts Begin July 7

The City of Irvine’s annual summer tradition returns on Sunday, July 7, when the Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts kick off at Mike Ward Community Park – Woodbridge.

The community is invited to a series of six free family-friendly concerts out in the park covering a variety of musical tastes — from country hits and pop variety to classical symphony and dance party rock. Bring a picnic basket or plan to purchase treats from gourmet food trucks.

Celebrate Summertime with Movies on the Lawn at the Orange County Great Park

Spend your summer at the Orange County Great Park with the return of the annual summer tradition, Movies on the Lawn, kicking off Friday, June 21.

The community is invited to a series of free family-friendly movies screened outdoors on the Terraced Lawn. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic, or purchase items from food trucks, which will be available on select dates.

Arrive at 6:30 p.m.; movies start after sunset and are weather permitting. Admission and parking are free.

Free Paper Shredding Event

In partnership with Waste Management, the City is hosting a free paper shredding event on Saturday, July 13 at the Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size boxes (dimensions 24 inches x 12 inches) at a mobile shredding unit on-site.
