Irvine Community Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast set for November 18

Join the City of Irvine, the Irvine Chamber of Commerce and the Exchange Club of Irvine for the 35th Annual Irvine Community Prayer Breakfast, to be held November 18 at the Irvine Marriott Hotel. Tickets for the 7:30 a.m. breakfast are $45; proceeds benefit The Raise Foundation.

This year’s keynote speaker is former major league catcher Darrell Miller. As Vice President of Youth and Facility Development, Darrell Miller takes an active role in Major League Baseball’s outreach to provide support and mentoring to young athletes.

Irvine Fine Arts Center Presents 34th Annual Holiday Faire

The Irvine Fine Arts Center will host its 34th annual Holiday Faire on Friday, Nov. 4 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. More than 100 talented local artists will sell unique handmade gifts for purchase, including holiday decorations, hand-blown glass, ceramics, jewelry, folk crafts, clothing and more.

Featuring festive holiday music, the Faire offers the opportunity to shop while experiencing the excitement of the season. Selected food items are available for purchase in collectible ceramic bowls and mugs made by Fine Arts Center volunteers.

Join the Exchange Club of Irvine, City of Irvine, and the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce at the 39th annual Irvine Community Prayer Breakfast.  This year's dynamic speaker is Brigadier General Michael Aguilar, USMC, Retired. Born in Los Angeles, California, General Aguilar was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1971 and designated a Naval Aviator in 1972. During his 31-year Marine Corps career he held a variety of flying and command billets. His last duty assignment was Deputy Commander Marine Forces South and Commanding General Fleet Marine Forces South.
