Join the Irvine Police Department Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 6:00 p.m. for a Virtual Crime & Safety Presentation to learn more about current crime trends, crime prevention tips, and how to join or start a Neighborhood Watch program in your community. Registration is not required to attend.

In honor of the City’s 50th anniversary and as part of the City’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative, the City of Irvine and South Coast Chinese Cultural Center are collaborating to offer the We Are Irvine: Living Resource Guide Series for Chinese-Irvine Newcomers, in Mandarin.

Join for the third lecture in the series September 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. via Zoom.

In partnership with the City of Irvine, Waste Management is hosting a free paper shredding event Saturday, October 23, at the Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes (dimensions 24 inches x 12 inches) at a mobile shredding unit on-site. The event is first come, first served, and will end when truck capacity is reached. Those customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to pull off to a designated area on the side away from the truck and staff.
