Irvine Police Department Investigating Fatal Traffic Collision

A 39-year-old male motorcyclist has died from his injuries after colliding with a vehicle.

This morning at approximately 7:56 a.m., the Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to a reported traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a utility truck hauling a trailer. The collision occurred in the intersection of Jamboree and the southbound I-405 freeway off-ramp.

Veterans Day Virtual Ceremony 2020

The City of Irvine hosts a special modified ceremony to pay tribute to our nation’s troops — past and present — and honor local veterans, veterans groups, and military organizations. The Veterans Day ceremony is presented online for the community to view at their convenience. The presentation includes a tribute from Mayor Christina L. Shea, remarks from officers from the City’s adopted Marine battalion, and musical performances and event footage from past ceremonies.

Donate Toys to Support Military Families During the Holiday Season

IRVINE, Calif. (November 3, 2020): Join the City of Irvine and the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee in brightening the season for military families. The Annual Toy Drive benefits families of Irvine’s adopted 2/11 Marine Battalion. Help bring joy to these families during the holidays by donating a new, unwrapped gift suitable for infants or children ages 12 and younger.
