Now Open - Rental Assistance Program
OVERVIEW
To mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on Irvine’s residential renters, the City of Irvine has committed its allocation of approximately $2,000,000 in one-time federal CARES Act funding to create a rental assistance program. The City of Irvine is now accepting applications for the second round of the Rental Assistance Program.
Per City Council direction in June 2020 to assist Irvine renters directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, staff has developed the following rental assistance program:

City of Irvine to Begin Offering Drive-Up COVID-19 Testing
The City of Irvine, in partnership with Curogram and multiple laboratories, including local Pangea Laboratory, will begin providing drive-up COVID-19 testing for individuals that live or work in Irvine beginning Monday, July 13 at the Orange County Great Park.
Tests will be available to those who are symptomatic and asymptomatic. The City will have multiple lanes dedicated to testing, and can accommodate approximately 200-260 tests per day. Only PCR testing, which determines if someone currently has the SARS-CoV-2 virus, is available.
