The Irvine Police Department (IPD) arrested 21-year-old Ryan Ray Staples yesterday for a bank robbery at the Bank of America located at 4500 Barranca Pkwy.

Irvine Police Department Investigating Fatal Traffic Collision

A 70-year-old female bicyclist has died from her injuries after being struck by a vehicle.

 

This morning at approximately 9:59 a.m., the Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to a reported traffic collision involving a bicyclist and a gray Mercedes Benz ML350. The collision occurred near the intersection of Portola Parkway and 261 toll road.

 

OCFA pronounced the bicyclist deceased shortly after arrival. The decedent’s identity is not being released at this time.
