Attend a free bike safety workshop and receive a free set of bike lights!

This workshop is perfect for both new riders and those who want a refresher course. It is designed for anyone over the age of 13 who knows how to balance and pedal on a bike. This is a classroom presentation, so no bicycle is necessary.

Workshops are scheduled throughout the week from 6 to 8 p.m. at the following locations:

Tuesday, February 25
Portola Springs Community Center
900 Tomato Springs

Irvine Police Department to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will conduct a  Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Driver’s License checkpoint as part of the Department’s continued commitment to reducing injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 15, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the area of Jamboree Road and Main Street.
