Great Park Ice Public Skating

Guests of all ages can enjoy skating at Great Park Ice during its daily public skating sessions on both NHL and Olympic sized ice surfaces. The facility has more than 1,000 pairs of professionally maintained ice hockey and figure skates available for rent, along with skate mates for new skaters or skaters who may need a little extra assistance on the rink.

Portola Springs Community Park Opens to the Public on January 26

The community is invited to the grand opening of Portola Springs Community Park from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, January 26. Join City of Irvine officials for the dedication of the City’s newest community center, which features more than 14,000 square feet including a multipurpose room, expansive patio area, two classrooms, and a Native American Wing.

Winter 2019 Paper Shredding Event

In partnership with Waste Management, the City of Irvine is hosting a free paper shredding event on Saturday, January 26 at the Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes (dimensions 24 inches x 12 inches) at a mobile shredding unit on-site. A donation bin for gently used clothing will also be available.

All documents and boxes should be free of binders, paper clips, plastic sleeves and metal butterfly-clips.
