Irvine Police Arrest Pair Who Shoplifted Thousands of Dollars of Merchandise

Irvine, Calif. (Aug. 25, 2017) – The Irvine Police Department has arrested two women who shoplifted approximately $5,000 worth of merchandise from a local Ralphs store as well as other locations. Detectives are now seeking to return unclaimed property.

Join us on Saturday, Sept. 23, 3:30-4:30 p.m., for an artist talk by All Media 2017 guest juror Kim Abeles. The esteemed multidisciplinary artist will discuss her artistic practice, career, and her experience of being a working artist. Before the talk, be sure to visit Abeles’ solo exhibition at the Orange Coast College Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion in Costa Mesa, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Irvine Police Arrest Drug Dealer at Apartment Complex

Irvine, Calif. (Aug. 17, 2017) – The Irvine Police Department on Thursday arrested an Irvine resident on drug and weapons charges. Robert K. Mireles, 24, is accused of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of an assault weapon, and possession of a stolen loaded weapon. Mireles was arrested Thursday afternoon near his home in the Los Olivos Village apartments, in the Irvine Spectrum area.

Enjoy a Summer Swim and Outdoor Movie at the Pool in Irvine

Grab your swimsuit and enjoy recreational swimming with family while the movie Moana plays on the big screen during the City of Irvine’s Splash-In Movie & Recreation Swim on Saturday, Aug. 26, at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center. The family-friendly summer outing kicks off with swimming at 6:30 p.m.; movie starts at dusk.

The recreation swim fee is $2 per child and $4 per adult. No registration is required and all fees are due at the pool. Lifeguards will be on duty.
