Irvine Police Arrest Stolen Vehicle Suspect After Foot Pursuit near Market Place

Irvine, Calif. (July 20, 2017) – A search and foot pursuit Thursday morning that led police to three different apartment complexes near The Market Place has ended in the arrest of a suspect in a stolen vehicle case.

 

At approximately 5:45 a.m. Thursday, the Irvine Police Department received a call from a witness who saw a Honda CRV pushing an Acura Integra from the parking lot of Target at The Market Place, 13200 Jamboree Road, across the street to the Las Palmas apartment complex.

Celebrate winter as "snow" falls over the Irvine Civic Center and the community gathers for games, crafts, music, entertainment and food. The City's signature holiday event includes a Joyful Jingles holiday concert and visit from Santa Claus. Guests can enjoy refreshments from mobile food trucks. The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is joining the celebration for National Night Out. This annual tradition celebrated across the country will be held August 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Cypress Community Park, 255 Visions
  • University Community Park, 1 Beech Tree Lane
  • The Ranch Neighborhood Park, 5161 Royale Ave.

The event offers a chance for neighbors to interact with each other and police personnel, as well as explore police vehicles and learn important crime prevention tips.
