Irvine Police Arrest Man Suspected in String of Bank Robberies

Irvine, Calif. (Sept. 7, 2017) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) has arrested a suspect in a string of recent bank robberies in Irvine and other cities. Ryan Alan Niedringhaus, 38, of Huntington Beach was taken into custody Wednesday evening.

Irvine Senior Citizens Council Seeks Applicants for Two Positions

The City of Irvine is accepting applications for two member-at-large positions on the Irvine Senior Citizens Council. The Senior Citizens Council acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters related to older adults, including the planning of facilities, transportation, services and programs, as well as the City’s Senior Strategic Plan. The Senior Citizens Council consists of seven members: five appointed by the City Council, and two member-at-large positions selected through a public recruitment process.
