DNA Evidence Leads Irvine Police to Suspect in 2014 Armed Robbery

Irvine, Calif. (March 13, 2017) – Irvine Police Department detectives have arrested the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on Dec. 3, 2014. Charles Thomas Kelley IV, 25, was taken into custody on March 10. He is accused of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and making terrorist threats.

Irvine Animal Care Center Saves 10,000th Animal Through Third Chance Program

The Irvine Animal Care Center welcomed the 10,000th animal brought in through the Third Chance for Pets program. The program transfers dogs, cats and other pets from overcrowded or underfunded California shelters – where they may have limited opportunities for adoption – and brings them to the Irvine Animal Care Center for a better chance at finding their forever home.

Support Foster Animals at Irvine Animal Care Center’s Kitten and Puppy Shower

Community members are invited to support young, recuperating animals at the Irvine Animal Care Center at the Kitten and Puppy Shower on Saturday, March 11, 1-4 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon on the Center’s lawn during this free event, and “shower” new kittens and puppies with much-needed donations.
