Balance: Backhausdance

In conjunction with the Balance exhibition, Backhausdance will offer a community dance class during which participants of all ages will explore basic modern dance. The company will also present a lecture/demonstration providing an in depth look into the craft of choreography with insight into their newest work, choreographed by Artistic Director Jennifer Backhaus. In partnership with the Irvine Barclay Theatre.

City of Irvine Seeks Community Input for Senior Programs

The City of Irvine is seeking community input to update its Senior Strategic Plan, which will help shape the direction of senior programs and services over the next five years. Community meetings will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lakeview Senior Center and Thursday, Jan. 26 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Rancho Senior Center.

IPD Seeks Help in Identifying Man

Irvine, Calif. (Jan. 3, 2017) – The Irvine Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in a scam in which two elderly victims were defrauded of more than $12,000.

The person of interest is described as a male, 20 to 30 years old, 5’7” and 150 pounds, who has a shaved head or very short hair and wears glasses. He has been seen at Target stores in Irvine.
