City of Irvine Approves Letter of Intent with Sunstone Management for Business Accelerator

At its September 12 meeting, the Irvine City Council unanimously approved a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Sunstone Management to work toward the development of a formal Memorandum of Understanding to create the Irvine Accelerator. The LOI outlines the vision, mission, and objectives of the partnership, as well as the responsibilities required for the creation, operation, and sustainability of the Irvine Accelerator.

In partnership with the City of Irvine, Waste Management is hosting a free paper-shredding event Saturday, October 28, 9–11 a.m. at Lakeview Senior Center. Irvine residents can safely and securely dispose of up to five banker-size file boxes. The event is first-come, first-served and will end early if truck capacity is reached. Customers who wish to watch their paper be shredded will need to park in a designated area away from the truck and staff.

Irvine Police Investigating a Fatal Traffic Collision

Irvine, Calif. (September 25, 2023) – A man has died after losing control of his vehicle.

Yesterday, at 8:35 p.m., the Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to reports of a single-vehicle traffic collision near the intersection of Barranca Parkway and Vertical.

Irvine, Calif. (September 20, 2023) – A 54-year-old man riding a motorcycle has died after being involved in a collision with a vehicle.

Last night, around 10:06 p.m., the Irvine Police Department (IPD) and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to reports of a traffic collision at the intersection of Culver Drive and Scottsdale Drive.

Irvine Police Department to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint

Irvine, Calif. (September 19, 2023) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) will conduct a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Driver’s License checkpoint as part of the Department’s continued commitment to reducing injuries and deaths caused by impaired drivers. The checkpoint will be conducted on Thursday, September 21, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the area of Jamboree Road and Michelson Drive.
